By Luna: A practical guide to the current astrological influences and how to navigate the weeks ahead.

On October 3, 2026, Venus stationed retrograde in Scorpio. This marks the final Venus Star Point in Scorpio of a 90-year cycle that began in 1930.

For nine decades, this cycle has influenced the lives of Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials, reaching each generation at a different stage of maturity. According to this astrological interpretation, the cycle comes to a close this October.

Every eight years, Venus traces another point of the rose-like pattern she creates in the sky.

In my own birth chart, each Scorpio retrograde since 1986 has brought significant changes to my career, finances, and romantic relationships.

Scorpio rules my 11th house, which governs gains, profits from my career, and benefactors. Venus rules my 10th house of professional life and my 5th house of romance and personal connections.

Each cycle has challenged me in different ways, and every time, I have emerged on the other side as a different person.

Trace Your Own Venus Returns

To identify which areas of your life may be influenced by this cycle, you will need your birth date, time, and place to determine the houses in your birth chart.

Then ask yourself:

• Where do Libra and Scorpio fall in my chart?

• Which natal planets does Venus activate as she moves through Scorpio and returns to Libra?

• What was happening in these areas of my life in 1986, 1994, 2002, 2010, and 2018?

The events may look different each time, but certain themes or areas of life may become more prominent whenever the cycle repeats.

Support often arrives gradually. Reflect on who appeared in your life to help you, what opportunities developed, and how long it took for your efforts to produce results.

The Astrological Climate of 2026: The Process Has Begun

In mid-September, the Moon passed in front of Venus, temporarily hiding her from view. Symbolically, this can be interpreted as a seed being planted in darkness.

Venus then stationed retrograde in Scorpio, a sign traditionally considered challenging for Venus.

Here, desire meets vulnerability, trust, power, and the fear of loss.

This period invites us to look honestly beneath the surface of our choices and relationships, examining our values and what we truly desire.

On October 23, Venus meets the Sun at 0° Scorpio in an alignment known as cazimi.

In astrology, cazimi describes a planet positioned at the heart of the Sun. Symbolically, it represents a moment of purification, renewal, and transformation.

In this interpretation, Venus releases what has reached its natural conclusion and begins a process of rebirth.

This is described as the final Scorpio cazimi of the current long-term cycle.

Something may reach a point where it can no longer continue in its previous form. Old patterns, attachments, or expectations may need to be released to make room for something new.

During this period, Venus also forms challenging square aspects with Mars, the traditional ruler of Scorpio, in Leo, and Pluto, its modern ruler, in Aquarius.

These alignments symbolise tension between the desire to stand up for what comes from the heart and the difficulty of letting go of something that is no longer serving us.

Venus and Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio

On October 24, Mercury stations retrograde at 21° Scorpio.

For a brief period, Venus and Mercury are retrograde in Scorpio together, sharing an inward-looking process in the sign associated with transformation, hidden truths, and emotional depth.

Scorpio symbolically represents both the venom and the antidote: the source of pain and the possibility of healing.

You may already feel that something is shifting within you.

Perhaps unresolved emotions are resurfacing, or you are becoming increasingly aware of situations that can no longer remain unchanged.

This process may feel uncomfortable, but it also offers an opportunity for greater self-awareness and personal growth.

In this astrological interpretation, the themes emerging now may continue developing until January 2027.

Although this period may feel challenging, it can encourage you to examine your life more deeply and reconsider what truly matters.

The brief window during which both planets are retrograde in Scorpio is considered particularly meaningful.

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is traditionally associated with revisiting matters we have avoided confronting, including hidden emotions, unresolved questions, and situations that remained unclear because of fear or uncertainty.

I have personally observed secrets coming to light during similar transits, sometimes without anyone actively searching for answers.

Realizations may arrive unexpectedly, bringing clarity to situations that have remained confusing for years.

At first, these discoveries can feel unsettling. However, once the initial emotions settle, a new understanding may emerge.

Much like the mythical phoenix rising from the ashes, this period symbolises the possibility of renewal after a difficult transformation.

Venus Returns Home to Libra

On October 25, Venus returns to Libra and forms a sextile with Jupiter.

In astrology, Jupiter is associated with expansion, optimism, and broader perspectives.

This alignment may offer a welcome sense of relief, helping us find the words to express feelings and realizations that have been developing internally.

It can also encourage us to step back, reconsider our circumstances, and approach situations from a different perspective.

During the first week of November, Venus forms sextiles with Mars and Jupiter, bringing a symbolic combination of motivation, confidence, and the energy needed to move towards important decisions.

Venus also opposes Chiron in Aries, highlighting themes associated with old emotional wounds and the healing process.

Ask yourself:

• What old wound is preventing me from moving forward?

• What am I afraid or unwilling to release?

Recognising these patterns may be an important part of finding the antidote.

The Threshold of a New Cycle

On November 13, Venus and Mercury both station direct.

Mercury turns direct in Scorpio, while Venus moves forward in her home sign of Libra.

Symbolically, this marks a moment of transition between the insights gained during the retrograde period and the beginning of a new chapter.

Imagine standing in the entrance hall of a new home, preparing to discover what lies beyond the next door.

"Luna(1)"

The house ruled by Libra in your birth chart may offer clues about which area of life is calling for renewed attention, understanding, or reassessment.

From an astrological perspective, you may wish to allow yourself additional time to reflect before making major decisions between October 19 and November 13.

This may be particularly relevant to matters involving finances, personal values, relationships, and important commitments.

Rather than rushing towards a conclusion, use this period to gather information, reflect on your priorities, and consider your options carefully.

For important financial or personal decisions, practical circumstances and professional advice should always take priority over astrological timing.

As Venus and Mercury begin moving forward again, you may feel better prepared to approach the next chapter with renewed clarity and confidence.

Questions to Reflect On

As this cycle unfolds, consider the following questions:

• What am I holding on to that I am ready to release?

• Which version of myself deserves gratitude before I move forward?

• What have I inherited, emotionally or personally, that I can now understand differently?

• What has become clear that I am ready to act upon?

• Where in my life am I prepared to make a different choice?

These questions can help you explore recurring patterns and identify areas where meaningful change may be possible.

If you would like to understand how this cycle may be unfolding in your own life, join me in chat with your birth date, time, and place.

Together, we can explore the areas of your birth chart that Venus is activating and examine the patterns that may be coming to the surface.

As Venus returns to Libra and both planets move direct, this can be a meaningful time to reflect on what you have learned and consider how to move forward with greater clarity.

With the symbolic support of Mars and Jupiter, the next chapter may offer opportunities for renewed confidence, personal growth, and a fresh perspective.

Blessed be,
