By Janet: Every day in our lives, we wear our own unique personal masks. I believe that no one’s mask is the same.
Our mask is what we project about ourselves, manifested through our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical beliefs and experiences as humans on Earth. Therefore, our mask is forever changing and evolving with our lives. Our actions each day contribute to this change, often without us consciously realizing it. Thus, we are our own magicians—consciously or unconsciously wearing a mask can stem from fear, such as fear of change, fear of being hurt, fear of being unloved, or fear of being exposed. All of these fears are rooted in negative energy, which is the opposite of love. When we hide behind a fearful mask, we present a diminished version of ourselves, leading to diminished outcomes in our lives and misunderstandings with others.
Choosing not to wear a mask is a risk, as it requires exposing our true selves. How do you feel when you’re not wearing your mask? Can you work through your fears to allow love and self-love to guide you? By doing so, you can evolve, and your mask will evolve with you. Perhaps you’ll find that you no longer need to rely on your mask as much. Only you can answer these questions by recognizing the love and beauty within yourself. When you drop your mask, you positively affect and energize everyone you’re connected to. This endless love is the powerful essence of life itself.
To let go of your mask, you can visualize a table and ask for guidance to reveal your mask. What does it look like? How does it feel emotionally? What color is it? Is it heavy or light? Then, summon the courage to remove the mask and place it on the table, knowing it will be taken care of until you return. Each time you revisit your mask, it will have evolved, just as you have.
Your beliefs shape your thoughts, feelings, expectations, and actions. Letting go of your mask elevates your self-esteem and empowers your beliefs, which are the foundation of your life. To develop high self-esteem, embrace empowering beliefs. Remember, self-esteem can only flourish when we are connected to the love that sustains us.
Take a moment to assess your self-esteem. Are you hiding your happiness? Are you doing things you don’t want to do? Do you experience fear and anxiety often? Do you neglect your well-being? Do you feel deserving of more love and support? Do you feel dissatisfied with your achievements? Do you struggle to assert yourself? Regularly checking in with yourself ensures your self-esteem remains strong and healthy.

With love and blessings of light,
