Can I Forgive?

By Anastasia: Why can’t I just forgive myself and move on? Why are they holding forgiveness from me? My loved one has passed away. I wish we had cleared the air. Is there any hope?

When we hold pain or resentment in the mental constructs of our mind the energetic flow of “dis-ease” will begin to take hold. After years of holding on to these thoughts the pain can start to affect your physical body. You know those times when you are wide awake in the middle of the night going over the same scenario in your mind of the “could have, would have or should have thoughts?” These are some of the signs you might not be done with forgiveness for yourself or another. We cannot force another person to forgive us. This is an organic process that might take a fair amount of consideration on your part so you can fully let go of the transgression that was done to you or what you might have done to another.

Over the years my clients have expressed the fear of letting go and forgiving the parent who crossed a boundary or a spouse that cheated repeatedly on them. Or, what about that co- worker who publicly called you out in front of your peers and humiliated you for their gain in the company? These things happen to all of us at one time or another. I wish everyone played nice and was kind, but that is just not the way of the world now is it? When we explore the fear of forgiveness it comes down to a belief that if you forgive, that awful person will “do it to you again”. There are many reasons to forgive, but the chief reason is for You! Do you really want to carry around the burden of unresolved issues your entire time here on mother earth? When we seek forgiveness and it is granted, it’s as if a weight is off your shoulders and you can breathe again. When someone withholds forgiveness from you and you know from the bottom of your heart and soul that you have done everything in your power to make amends and the other person refuses to acknowledge or forgive you, then you must extract yourself from that situation. This is when trust in the process and faith in the divine can take over. When we talk about this subject we define forgiveness as this: a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness. Let’s be clear here, Forgiveness starts with you. If you can forgive yourself for the things known and unknown for the way you have treated another person then you are half way on the road to forgiveness freedom.

Would you like to unburden yourself from your past? Do you want to know how to seek forgiveness for yourself? Are you ready to return to a peaceful place of balance within?

Then by all means, please ring me on chat or give me call and I look forward to serving you.
