The Flow Factor

By Isabella: Often when we want something we push and push, determined to get our way.

Society on the whole has become accustomed to instant gratification, sound bites and synopsized culture. You want food? You order online and viola, it arrives at your door for what seems like a reasonable price, given the cost of gasoline, the wear and tear on your car and nerves, as you navigate through city traffic. You want stuff so you shop online, and you have it the next day. Those that live outside of the USA don’t know that in America, you can return anything, almost anytime depending on the store’s policy. So with all the conveniences afforded to us, it makes sense that people treat their relationships and pursuits the same way.

I can’t tell you how many calls I’ve taken where the caller is so determined to get the man or woman of their desires, it borderlines obsession. “Does he think about me?” “Does she like me?” “Even though we’ve only gone out on two occasions, does he think about marrying me?” Many times people dilute themselves and are convinced of the feelings of another, often to great disappointment. I once had a young woman who was so demanding, arrogant and aggressive, yet lacked any self-awareness, thus every man that came into her life, she pushed to the point that they didn’t just leave her, they ran, full tilt boogie, away.

There is a nuance and a greater plan, to the relationships that come into your life and being self-aware, is essential. Common sense often factors into the equation, because if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. If you think he’s cheating or that he’s a player, if you think she has friend-zoned you, or that her saying hello means she’s falling for you, you might want to set with those feelings before moving forward. Often, people are more transparent that you imagined. They often give off signs of their intentions which oddly, people overlook because they want what they want when they want it. It’s similar to people who rarely listen in conversations because they are just waiting to jump in and tell their story.

Previous incarnations, karma, both light and dark, purpose, life lessons, projection and soul connection, factors into every romance, every friendship, every acquaintance and every foe. Specificity, focus and self-awareness, generate healthy relationships while, chasing, love bombing and clinging, push them away. It’s just that simple.
The problem with persistent pushing is you create an energy block, which causes the exact opposite of what you are trying to accomplish. Everything is energy and there is always a divine timing for everything under the sun, yet most just keep demanding, trying to control or micro manage their personal relationships, including the one you have with your family and friends. That simply undermines the very nature of universal energy.

Eventually, you learn that going with the flow ensures new relationships grow. Hopefully you learn that you attract what you are; so if you’re needy, clingy, desperate, insecure, have abandonment issues, are demanding and controlling, jealous or possessive, if you lack patience or the basic understanding of relationships and how they work, you might want to do some reading or self-reflection and heal at least some of what alienates potential partners. BE the person you want to attract, embody the nature and embolden the characteristics you want in a partner. If you want loyalty, be a loyal person. If you want monogamy, love yourself first, be true to yourself first. If you want a healthy relationship, stop engaging with people who have no character, who cheat on their taxes, those who lie with ease and those who are lazy or put little effort into the relationship. FIND yourself in the reflection of those you date. If you love or even like yourself, all the better.

Go with the flow, trust that the universe hears your prayers, your thoughts and knows your desires…trust your higher self and stop choosing those who are not worthy of the quality of love you have to give.

Wishing you self-reflection and the ability to see what needs addressing in order to attract your perfect match. Heal yourself, love yourself, stay humble but confident and whatever you do, GO WITH THE FLOW.
