One of my greatest passions is helping people learn how to love themselves. I have seen everything from drug addiction to chronic illness to physical abuse and more. The variables can be genetic, environmental, karmic and socio-economic but no matter what they are, always without exception, a lack of self-worth, self-respect and self-love are at the core.
Loving yourself can be the difference between a life of flow or living a life filled with dramas. It is no secret that self-worth and self-esteem are essential but many people fail to connect their lack of self-love to something they did in a previous lifetime. It begins by first assessing this lifetime and what your childhood experiences are, then delve deeper. Many times you are carrying memories of something which traumatized your spirit, your body or your psyche from another time, a previous incarnation. There are many ways to uncover events which happened long ago but many only focus on their current lifetime. Look deeper, go higher, seek from within and with the help of your angels and guides, uncover what haunts your spirit. It may simply be from your own childhood but whatever the reason you don’t have to be a victim to your past or your karma. Karma is the immutable law of cause and effect, what you have put out and what you continue to produce in actions, thoughts and words returns to you and usually multiplied. When you start looking into the why’s of your life, “Why did this happen?” “Why did that person do this to me?” you begin to understand and heal your own karma and that leads to loving yourself more fully.
One way to raise self-love is to feel your fears, then heal your fears. Fear is energy capable of sabotaging your dreams and it certainly veils the love which resides at the core of your being. When you fail to address what haunts you, it grows and feeds from your neglect to tend to it. Fear must be embraced to understand it; the parameters must be scoured to find the core of your fear. The more you push it away, the more you attract what you fear. Discovery is half the lesson. In your search, you will often find that the thing you fear, is only a bi-product of something fixable. When you love yourself there are no constraints, no limits and there is no hindrance to the joy you encumber and express. Faith is self-love in motion and you must have faith in your higher self to manifest all you dream and faith that inside of you, lives a potent powerful energy. That energy truly comes to life when you love and accept yourself for all that you are. When you love yourself, you experience life with a passion unstoppable by anything including fear.
Loving yourself is sexy and is a magnet for the opposite sex. Remember that you attract to your life an exact reflection of you. If you are insecure, you attract someone who is insecure or someone who will take advantage of your insecurities. If you have a victim mentality, you attract someone who either has the same or who will add to you becoming even more of a victim. If you fear it, you attract it, if you think it, it comes. Conversely if you are confident in who and what you are and what have to offer a partner, if you respect and honor yourself, others will to. It is the law of attraction and you are its muse.
A suggestion I offer my clients is this; make a list of all the reasons you don’t love yourself, then make a list of all your wonderful qualities. Write down things like, “reliable, dependable, compassionate, caring, intelligent, great sense of humor, loyal” etc. When you are writing out the reasons you don’t love yourself, really assess if they are just a temporary condition such as “unemployed” or “overweight.” These are conditions that will change over time. Be fair with yourself and you will find that there is so much more to you to love than you realized.
Sending you quantum love to lift you while you learn to love yourself.
